He is known as Bond…James Bond. But besides, the glitz and glamour and the women that James Bond loves on screen, one of the favorites are his cars. Here’s our Top 10 Bond Cars
Aston Martin DB5
Used in “Goldfinger”, “Goldeneye”, “Skyfall”, “Tomorrow Never Dies” and “Casino Royale”, this car in my opinion was the second co-star in these films. Favorite Bond car hands down, it’s the vehicle that started it all.
Lotus Esprit S1
This car was used in “The Spy Who Loved Me”. What a perfect spy car. This film has one of the best car chases in the Bond Franchise. Amazing vehicle.
Aston Martin V8 Vantage
Used in “The Living Daylights”, The V8 was the first car since The Spy Who Loved Me filled with gadgets. Outrigger skiis, spikes, that come out of tires, missles behind the driving lights.
BMW 750 LI
Used in “Tomorrow Never Dies”, for a Bond car it’s large, but its due to the gadgets. Sun roofed mounted rockets, a hidden gun compartment are some of the great gadgets on this car.
Mercury Cougar XR7
Used in “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”, this car didn’t have a lot of gadgets, but the the red cougar was memorable due to the large amount of screen time it received.
Lotus Espirit Turbo
Used in “For Your Eyes Only”, this car did’t do a lot in this film with Roger Moore at the helm, but it’s simply goregous.
Toyota 2000 GT Roadster
Used in “You Only Live Twice”, the Roadster was actually converted from two cars to fit 6’2 Sean Connery. It even had among its gadgets, a closed circuit TV.
Ford Mustang Mach 1
The Mustang was used in “Diamonds Are Forever”. There were 8 of these Mustangs used in this film that had Sean Connery’s Bond evade the police through Las Vegas with Jill St. John.
Used in “The World is Not Enough”, this car didn’t get a whole lot of screen time, but it did have some pretty rocking missles that popped out of its side gills.
Aston Martin DBS
Used in both “Casino Royale” and “Quantum of Solace”, the end of this beauty hurt so much. Daniel Craig’s Bond swerves to avoid her while chasing baddies, she flips seven times before crashing into the grass.
